Tweaks to the circuit at Cyclopark and a tighter, more technical lap led to a number of key match-ups this Saturday. As a result, we had ‘The Day of the Duels’ at Spring in the Park for Round Four.

The famous Paris-Roubaix race is one of the oldest in the world, dating back to 1896 it sees professional riders race roughly 280km and some 30 brutal cobble sections before finishing in the iconic Roubaix Velodrome.

For this round the Spring in the Park Race Team were faced with the Time Trial or ‘Race of Truth’.

Our Group Three session this weekend was built around the benefits of riding in a group as well as simulating race sprints.

4// Which type of racing do you like best and why? Road as cyclo-cross is really hilly and bumpy. But I like them both, because they are fun.

I think that cyclocross is my favourite as every time it is different and has something new. I find road too similar so I get a bit bored sometimes!
