// LONDON YOUTH GAMES PREVIEW

Limited Edition Cycling will be coordinating Team Greenwich at this year’s LYG cycling competition which is due to be held on Saturday 29th June 2024 at Lee Valley Velodrome on the road circuit.

// Eligibility

As long as you live in the borough or go to school in the borough then you can try out for the team. Team trials are open to everyone – not just LEC members!

(Any riders born in the year 2007 and before are ineligible.)

// Training sessions

From Saturday 4th May, we will be holding weekly training sessions at Sutcliffe Park Sports Centre on Saturday afternoons; 3.30pm - 4.30pm

You do not need to attend these in order to try out for the squad.

// Team trials

Saturday 11th May 2024 at Sutcliffe Park Sports Centre.

If you would like to qualify to be part of the race day team, you must attend the trials and complete the qualifying time trail.

• C/D/E: 8 timed laps of Sutcliffe Park Athletics Track

• A/B: 16 timed laps of Sutcliffe Park Athletics Track

Fastest riders will make the race day team.

The squad comprises of 16 riders in total:

Time trial x 2 laps
3 x U12 (C/D/E) male riders
3 x U12 (C/D/E) female riders

Time trial x 3 laps
3 x U14/16 (A/B) male riders
3 x U14/16 (A/B) female riders

Mass race x 12 laps
2 x U14/16 (A/B) male riders
2 x U14/16 (A/B) female riders
